Kevin English is a native of Baltimore, who has extensive knowledge about the game of basketball from a player, coach, and administrative perspective. Kevin played high school basketball at Milford Mill High School where he was an outstanding athlete who ended his high school career as a basketball All Star and State Champion, in basketball, and outdoor track. He moved on to play college basketball and baseball at Bowie State University. Kevin was a scholarship basketball player and a walk on for the nationally recognized baseball team.
He began his coaching career at Franklin High School, in Baltimore, as the Boys’ Varsity Assistant Coach, in 2004. He currently coaches at Randallstown High School, in Baltimore County, and has led the Rams basketball program to over 200 wins consisting of four divisional championships, Six regional final appearances, and one county championship. Kevin was also honored as coach of the year by Baltimore County and the State of Maryland during his tenure.
Kevin earned a Master’s in Athletic Administration in the spring of 2016 which gives him the credential needed to acquire a position as an athletic administrator at the high school, college, or professional level. His background, as the owner of an electronics store, coupled with his athletic background, and formal education has primed him for a leadership position in athletics. These experiences have given him a great understanding of how to approach other business owners when attempting to obtain sponsorship, managing personalities, or balance a budget.
In 2016 Kevin was named the Head Coach of the DMV Warriors Semi Pro basketball team. After completing his first three seasons, the DMV Warriors had won three Divisional Championships with three consecutive final four appearances in a league with over 100 teams. Shortly after, Kevin was named the President of the DMV Warriors organization and Co-founded the Triple Threat Basketball League (TTBL) in 2019. Kevin currently holds the position of Vice Chairman and Co-Founder of the TTBL.
